I am working on a book about the physical pain of grief, I hope to have it published in about a year (I am working on another book at the moment). I would like to have anyone who has had pain up to 6 months after a loss to write me and tell me your story. I will include it in the book (I will change your name so no one knows who you are). I hope to collect as many stories as possible to include.

I have received a couple of stories already. One was from a lady called Ann (not her real name) who lost both parents to cancer. She had taken care of them and she had no real health problems until their deaths. Now she has many problems, including physical pain, but she also has a lot of mental problems from the grief, including OCD, bi-polar, and many more. She also has a feeling of abandonment. I am working with her to find a solution to her problems.

I also got word of another woman who came down with a pinched nerve only a month after she lost her husband. I suspect the back pain is caused from the stress of losing her husband, and could be removed with counseling and/or hypnosis.

If you have started having pains, either mental or physical, after the loss of a loved one, or a divorce or a move, etc. Please visit your medical doctor to see if he can find a cause, but also be aware that MDs do not usually know that a physical pain can exist from a mental state, so he may find something physically wrong that is not the cause of your problem (for instance, a herniated disk does not always cause pain). If that is the case, if he does something physical to stop the pain, it may work, but be aware you will have a pain of some other type show up later if it is caused from your grief.

If you have a story to tell me, or would like to have some help with your problem, please email me at griefrecoverythatworks@gmail.com I will do my best to help you get relief or help you find someone in your area that can help you.
